Registration is open for Maine Public Dash of Maine Cooking Challenge 2022 Holiday Edition

True Mainea division of the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, supports the Maine Public Dash of Maine Cooking Challenge 2022 Holiday Edition.

Join them by sending your favorite recipe and a photo of your finished dish to enter the challenge.

“Do you have more than one main dish, side dish, appetizer, dessert or snack to share and can’t decide which of your favorite recipes to share,” said Real Maine, in a press release. “Submit them all!”

You can enter multiple times, but make sure you don’t miss the December 14 deadline.

How to enter:

  • Create your recipe with the finest Maine ingredients.
  • Take one or more photos of your finished dish.
  • Include a brief description of what makes your Real Maine recipe and its ingredients one of your favorite holiday dishes.
  • Send both to [email protected] and [email protected]
  • Sweepstakes entrants who cc:Real Maine with their Sweepstakes Submission will be entered to win additional Real Maine prizes.

Winners of the Final Dash of Maine cooking contest will be selected by a panel of celebrities including Maine Chef Stephen Corry (Petite Jacqueline and 555 North) and Chef David Turin (David’s and David’s 388) based on these criteria – originality, connection to the holidays and use of Maine ingredients. Two winners will each receive a $250 gift certificate for the Now You’re Cooking in Bath and Real Maine prizes, including a Real Maine cooking apron.

The two final winners will have the chance to visit one of the celebrity chef’s professional kitchens and cook their winning dish with the regional celebrity chef while wearing a Real Maine apron! These mini cooking sessions will be videotaped and shared online and on social media in January. As a further extension, Maine Public will consolidate all submitted recipes into online recipe cards that will feature members of Real Maine.

By participating in the Dash of Maine Holiday Cooking Challenge, you consent to allow Real Maine, a division of the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry to use photos, recipes, descriptions and other promotional content of your participation.
