Marvel Netflix and Agents of SHIELD Cast Team Up for New Promo

Recently, Disney announced that a huge slate of old Marvel series will be moving to Disney+. Many never thought something like this would happen, given that most of these shows were originally created by and for Netflix. So how could the service lose the streaming rights? Somehow it happened, and the Mouse streaming service grew all the richer for it.

Marvel and Disney have been doing their best to promote the change, making sure the general public is as informed as possible. Without a doubt, the hope is that all of these series can find new audiences and attract attention, especially if they share the same streaming space as nearly every other Marvel Studios project.

Despite the big move that happened some time ago, the actors behind the various projects, including daredevil and Agents of SHIELD, continue to share their enthusiasm for the situation. In fact, a new promotional video featured several of the biggest actors behind the newly moved material promoting each other.

A new ICT Tac from Disney + has been released which promotes the arrival of the Netflix series Marvel and Agents of SHIELD to the Disney streaming service. Alongside actors from other series like Agents of SHIELDMany Marvel’s Defenders the actors teamed up with Agents of SHIELD stars Clark Gregg and Ming-Na Wen to create a promo that lets everyone know where to watch their old shows.

The video in question adapted the “pass the phone” format, which has become popular on social networks. It all started with Simone Missick, who played Misty Knight in Luke Cage. The actress called “the person whose purpose in life is to give Matt Murdock a hard time.”

From there he went to Jessica Jones‘ Krysten Ritter, who quickly threw it to “one who is driven in his pursuit of truth and justice.” Surprisingly, this led to iron fist‘s Finn Jones, who chose to cast him as Clark Gregg while referencing the character’s Kree madness on SHIELD.

Gregg took the opportunity to pass the microphone to “his favorite superhero” who in this case was none other than Charlie Cox.

the daredevil the actor passed the torch one last time, his choice being “someone who is a force to be reckoned with.”

This, of course, meant Ming-Na Wen, who played Agent Melinda May in Agents of SHIELD. Wen also recently starred as Fennec Shand in Boba Fett’s Book.

The future of Netflix and SHIELD in the MCU

Marvel, Disney, and even the actors themselves (as seen above) have been heavily promoting the big shift in streaming houses. Undoubtedly, some of this is fueled by Charlie Cox’s transition to the MCU proper – a decision most other actors probably wouldn’t hesitate to make on their own.

There were, however, a few notable missing faces in this meeting. The most glaring omissions include Mike Colter’s Luke Cage and Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle. With the other three defenders in the play, many fans might be a little disappointed not to see everyone together again, even if only as part of a stitched-together video.

What’s really interesting is how Finn Jones made an appearance in the video. In all of the recent promotional material for the move from Netflix Marvel shows to Disney+, the actor, his character, and even iron fist himself took the back seat. This is no doubt due to the general reception by critics and fans of the series he directed and his character’s portrayal.

Hopefully more audiences will understand all the great content most of these actors are a part of. The more popular they become, the more likely Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones or Bernthal’s Punisher will make more appearances in the future.
