Hot Wheels Unleashed adds several new dinosaur-themed cars and customization options in a new crossover promotion inspired by Jurassic World.
Hot Wheels Unleashed just received a new season of dinosaur-themed content in the form of a jurassic world crossing. The last film in the franchise, Jurassic World Dominionrecently arrived in theaters and concludes the sequel trilogy that debuted in 2015.
Hot Wheels Unleashed has been receiving a steady stream of crossover content since its launch late last year. These have already included properties like street fighter, Batman, Sponge Bob SquarePants, and many more. The game’s DLC roadmap also indicates that there will be even more crossovers in the future, spread across multiple seasons and expansions. Hot Wheels Unleashed has even reached outside of the game itself, with Forza Horizon 5 recently revealed his Hot Wheels DLC crossed over during the Summer Game Fest.
A launch trailer for PlayStation shows the latest season of content for Hot Wheels Unleashedand it is based on jurassic world. The new crossover promotional content series includes six dinosaur-themed vehicles based on the Velociraptor, Stegosaurus, Mosasaurus, Triceratops, and Tyrannosaurus Rex. The T. Rex also has its own monster truck variant, and the new season of Hot Wheels Unleashed will add 15 unlockable customization items for player profiles and the basement. As always, a number of gear and coin rewards will also be included.
The season will run by August 30 and will include free and premium items. Standard challenge progression will unlock the free items, but players will need to pay $5.99 for the season pass to unlock premium items (such as new custom cars). Those who purchase the Season Pass will have immediate access to the Stegosaurus vehicle as well as 20 other unlockable premium rewards. Importantly, the jurassic world The Race Season Pass is not part of any of the three Hot Wheels Passes.
Hot Wheels Unleashed continues to be a fan favorite among modern arcade racers, and developer Milestone certainly isn’t slowing down with its additional content. Taken together, there’s no denying that all of its DLCs can be quite expensive, and their overall value is up for debate. However, additional content such as jurassic world the racing season is precisely aimed at the game’s target audience, much like the majority of its other nostalgic offerings. Fans have a lot to look forward to with this latest portion of crossover promotional content in Hot Wheels Unleashedbut it may have been a missed opportunity not to include the iconic custom Jeep of jurassic park.
