The Events Industry Council (EIC) announced that IMEX AMERICA ’21 has achieved platinum-level certification to EIC standards for sustainable events.
The standard specifies performance criteria in the areas of organizational management, marketing, communication and engagement, climate action, water management, materials and circularity, supply chain management, diversity, equity and inclusion, accessibility and social impact.
Carina Bauer, CEO of IMEX Group, said: “Certification to the highest global standards in the events industry not only gives us recognition for all sustainability efforts, but also a roadmap. to measure and improve our sustainable event programs in the future.
“We are also committed to the Net Zero Carbon Events initiative and are on track to publish our journey to net zero by the end of 2023. All of these steps are a collective effort.
