Egypt Education Platform Acquires Majority Stake in Trillium and Petals Montessori Preschools

The Egyptian Education Platform (EEP) has acquired a majority stake in Trillium and Petals Montessori kindergartens, with about eight branches spread across East Cairo, serving more than a thousand preschool students.

Sources told Daily News Egypt that the investment brings to 18 the number of institutions under the management of EEP at school and preschool levels, with a combined capacity of about 21,000 students..

The source added that the EEP has completed all preparations for the start of operations in two new schools, Hayat 6 October, next September, in cooperation with “GEMS Schools.”

The platform is currently studying two new investment opportunities, one of which should be finalized before the end of 2022.

The platform also signed in the fourth quarter of 2021 its first management agreement with the Sovereign Wealth Fund of Egypt and Mobica to manage and operate two new high-end national schools that will be developed in the Sixth of October city with a combined capacity of 5,000 students. The new schools are expected to start operations in September 2023.

EEP enters 2022 with a diverse portfolio comprising 10 schools in Cairo and Alexandria at various stages of development and with a combined capacity approaching 20,000 students.

The platform continues to explore potential growth opportunities in the market through future acquisitions or the development of new schools.
